Update ****. Waste Management has cancelled Thursday trash and recycle collection due to inclement weather. This will mean a one-day delay for those with Thursday or Friday service. (Feb. 18, 2021 - 9:15am)

Winter Storm Weather Advisory - A winter storm warning goes into effect Wednesday night and freezing rain is expected to arrive in the Triad after midnight Thursday possibly producing up to a 1/2" of ice.

Prepare for power outages and use this time today to charge your devices, store fresh water, blankets, and replenish your emergency supplykit with batteries and non-perishable food. Significant ice accumulation could lead to tree damage and power outages. You may report any power outages to Duke Energy by texting OUT to 57801, report online or call 800-POWERON (800-769-3766).

Waste Management may experience possible delays and we will keep you informed of any impact to Thursday's trash and recycle routes. Should Thursday's service be suspended, it will be collected on Friday. We will post all service updates as soon as available.

For any issues concerning downed trees town wide, please contact the Public Works Director, Ryan Moser via email at publicworks@lewisvillenc.net.

Please exercise caution and avoid driving and travel during this time. Please remember to bring your pets indoors. Like people, cats and dogs are susceptible to frostbite and hypothermia and should be kept inside during extreme winter conditions.

We will post updates as they become available. Please remain home and stay safe during this winter storm.
