The Town of Lewisville is pleased to announce that Ray Burns has joined the Town’s public safety team as a Deputy in March 2026.
“I really enjoy being part of the Lewisville community because of how close I live. It makes me feel I am directly impacting my community,” Burns shared about joining Town Safety.
If Burns looks familiar, you might have already seen him, as he helped other Lewisville deputies hand out candy on Halloween last October. “Being able to hand out stickers to children and speak with veterans has made my experience enjoyable,” he said about the experience.
Prior to law enforcement, Burns served as a US Army Paratrooper for over 20 years. Between his service in Afghanistan and Iraq, he completed over 100 parachute jumps. He is also pursuing a degree in Homeland Security.
Outside of work, Burns spends time with his wife, their two dogs, two cats, and a turtle. When he’s not traveling, you’ll typically find him doing D.I.Y. home repairs or grilling a delicious meal.
We’re excited for Burns to be part of Lewisville and look forward to seeing him around town!
