Tour of Tanglewood to Impact Roadways, Sept. 22-23

Lewisville residents should prepare for an influx of cyclists sharing the town’s roadways during the weekend of September 22-23 with the Town being on the riding path for participants in the Bike MS: Tour of Tanglewood 2018.

“We expect the times of impact for Lewisville to primarily be on Saturday midday (September 22) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Sunday morning (September 23) from 8 until 10 a.m.,” said Kemba Keen, National Multiple Sclerosis Society Logistics Development Coordinator. “We are sending out notices to area churches about the Sunday morning delay but need the community to join us in helping spread the word.”

The Bike MS: Tour to Tanglewood takes cyclists of all levels throughout the scenic Yadkin River Valley and North Carolina wine country including through the Town of Lewisville for the area’s premier two-day fundraising cycling event. Lewisville roads that are part of the bike routes include Concord Church, Conrad, Grapevine, Harper, Lewisville-Clemmons, Lewisville-Vienna, Reynolds, Shallowford, Styers Ferry, Vienna Dozier, Williams and Yadkinville.

The ride begins and ends each day at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons. Tanglewood also hosts the event’s Team Village, great food, live music and the Unknown Brewing Beer Garden for the post-ride party and celebrations including LIVE spin classes on stage.
