The Town is pleased to announce that it was honored with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, accepted by Finance Director Pam Orrell, CPA. Lewisville has received this award twenty times.
This award was established by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) in 1945 to recognize state and local governments for excellence in financial reporting and transparency.
This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, according to the GFOA.
This award “requires that state and local governments prepare annual comprehensive financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure,” Pam said.
