Next Event:

Weekly on Thursday, 9:45am - 12pm for 3 times

Join us as we explore what makes a good landscape drawing, how to block in the details and pull it all together for a pleasing and beautiful composition, including depth of field, details, foreground/midground/background.
This class will create landscapes from photo sources (high quality magazine photos or your own printed photos—no working from your handheld device, please), working in graphite, colored pencil, ink and ink wash.
Students will explore single medium and mixed media drawings, with instruction on blending and contrastive usages.

Students supply their own pencils (2H, HB or B, 2B, 4B), colored pencils (Prismacolor, Polychromos, Derwent Chromaflow, or other high quality brand), erasers (Pink Pearl, kneaded), and ink devices (crow quill pen and India ink preferred, or Micron pen—these ink items will however be available from teacher to borrow or purchase if student doesn’t already have them).
Teacher supplies all papers (a variety of surfaces will be available for student exploration).

Cost for the 3 sessions is $39.
