Drawing Animals

This class will make use of a variety of drawing mediums (graphite and colored pencils, ink and ink wash) and a variety of types of paper to explore how to draw animals from a realistic perspective. How do you draw fur? feathers? beaks, eyeballs, webbed feet, claws, and tails? These are some of the topics we will discuss and practice. Come and explore the world of animals!

Supplies:

  • Instructor supplies all paper and ink/ink wash supplies.
  • Students supply their own pencils, colored pencils. (required student supplies: drawing board surface; high quality graphite pencils in 2H, HB or F, 3B; pink pearl eraser, kneaded eraser; high quality colored pencils (Prismacolor Premier; Polychromos; Derwent or other soft core options).
